MP B 113
Having not been on the Ossipee line for a while, as well as anyone else from the club, I decided to use my use my day off to do some much needed work along the line. I spent most of the day cutting several trees and branches along the 8 mile ROW, which took up the majority of the day. I also planned on painting the mile markers along the line but the abnormally cool fall like air prevented me from doing so as it would have taken the white latex paint forever to dry. For now I just marked the milage for both the Boston and Intervale directions on all the markers.

New crossing..does NHDOT know?
Heading north from Mountainview station I found that the line was pretty clear, but a new crossing had been installed just south of MP B 118. It appears that a land owner may be looking to log out the propery on the west side of the ROW.  The club will have to discuss with NH DOT to see if the crossing was approved as you need to apply for several permits to cross a state rail corridor. I also searched for MP B118 but was unable to find it. It is most likely burried under all the junk that the former trailer park owners dumped over the embankment onto the ROW.
