 New paint for NEGS 103 on the White Mt. Branch From where I left off on the last post about getting some body work done, we didn't have much in the way of warm weather to start getting some painting done. Most of the time was spent sanding and sanding Bondo Glass to prep the body. Mid April finaly provided almost an entire week of 70+ degree weather in which I could paint. I finally was able to get the first 2 base coats of paint on, and as you can see it came out pretty nice. It still needs two more coats and a clear coat so that it has a nice hard protective shell. Since this is a car that will be used on work rides, it needs the extra coats to hold up to beatings.I decided to letter this unit up for New England Southern, and it will become NEGS 103. I have a quote out to a decal shop for the NEGS logos that will be on the 2 doors. After a test run on a NEGS Track Patrol on April 21st, the unit ran smoothly, but will need some tweeking of the engine for the closed throttle setting. In the next weeks the entire cab will be pulled back off so all of the wiring and interrior finishing can be done. Then the cab will be bolted back on, and the remaining glass installed. {mos_fb_discuss:4}
