Having put most of this years mileage on the Ossipee line it was time for a change of scenery. I met Dave, Harry, Bill, Gene and 4 others at Fernald. Woodings outnumbered Fairmont's' this time around, with 5 total, and Harry's "Exeter Fire" Fairmont was looking good with all of its gold decaling finished. We set on, my car second in line, and headed east. The 9 car group moved at a pretty good rate, stopping every so often to check out how the multi-use trail work was going.

The cool weather was comfortable and the sun provided some great spots for shots. Recent rains in the week had caused all the marshes to be full, and we were able to determine that some culverts were overwhelmed and needed to be replaced with larger ones next year. 

After a quick lunch at the Miss Wakefield Diner at the end of the line, we headed back to Fernald to load up and call it a day.
