The great fall weather is here and what a perfect time for a speeder ride! With the weather providing cool 55 degree temps and nice blue skys it was perfect. Emma and I decided to head out to the Ossipee Line to check out the northern half of the line to Rt. 16.
There were no trees down on the line, but it appeared that there had been some other railcars on the line in the last week. At the end of the line by Rt. 16 it was time to pull out the pole pruner to cut the trees back from the track. The brush and trees were cut back just so that cars and snowmobiles could get through with out whacking the driver. I'll cut the brush back further next time. On the way back to Mountain View station we stopped at the bridge at MP 117.5 for some quick photos and to check out how the fall colors were coming along. |
